Urgo Touch, a laser protection sleeve

Our competitive edge: expertise in rigid and flexible polymers for a turnkey solution!

We support healthcare professionals in their packaging needs, as well as in the development of leak-proof containers (pouches, sleeves, exchange trays, etc.) in our ISO 8 cleanrooms.
We have 3 ISO 13485 (v 2016) certified industrial subsidiaries with several ISO 7 and 8 cleanrooms: thermoforming rooms, welding rooms and packaging rooms.

By combining our expertise with our knowledge of polymers, we can offer innovative mixed solutions combining rigid and flexible polymers to best meet your needs.

An example: protective sleeve for Urgo Touch laser

This sleeve is designed to be used with a laser for the post-operative treatment of scars on the skin.

We have proposed and developed a protective blister pack which is welded onto a flexible sheath to protect and facilitate the intervention.

1 Identifying needs / Studying specifications

To better understand our customers’ expectations and meet them with precision, our teams (design, R&D, engineering, sales, etc.) study ..:

Constraints (specific materials, specific dimensions, sterilization methods, working environments, etc.)
Requirements (functional, ergonomic, mechanical, etc.)
Product use
The company (values, positioning, etc.)
Analysis of products already on the market, with their advantages and disadvantages
Analysis of regulatory requirements related to the business sector

2 Pre-study and eco-design

Following this initial analysis, the design department, in conjunction with the engineering offices, then draws up various proposals/scenarios in the form of sketches in line with the customer’s expectations and the product’s end use.

A presentation is then made to the customer with all the proposals, their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.

We support you throughout the development process, and advise you on the materials to be used in series production.

We help you define the associated risks throughout the project.

3 Mock-up / prototyping

Once the proofs have been validated, our design office teams start by creating a 3D drawing to manufacture the molds in-house.

Once the prototype has been produced, it is sent to the customer for further validation.

4 Creating aluminum tools

Thanks to our integrated tool shop, this division is responsible for the design, manufacture, finishing and maintenance of our production tools.

Using our expertise and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) files, we design and manufacture customized prototype and production molds, as well as peripheral accessories (mold holders, stackers, frames, custom sealing tools, etc.) according to project requirements.

5 Production / Industrialization

Start-up of production in clean rooms.
Production will be controlled from A to Z by our quality department in compliance with ISO13485. In this case, there are several stages:

Sheath cutting
High-frequency welding
Folding
Individual part inspection
Tensile test on the sheath to ensure that it holds properly
Welding the sheath to the hull + folding the sheath
